Myriad Chambers of Being
Let us dare stroll among the labyrinthine corridors of humanity. Tread carefully, for it is easy to loose one’s way among this maze of hallways and chambered intersections.
Where these corridors meet, we sometimes find grand ballrooms filled with people dancing to music of antiquated comfort. At other intersections, we find lesser-used rooms, no less ornate, but peopled with a few brave souls dancing to music of strange lands and cultures.
When the people of these varied chambers encounter one another, great conflict sometimes erupts, filled with violence and death.
Others try to brick over corridors leading to chambers whose music offends the ears of those accustomed to old and comforting tunes. What is music to the ears of some is cacophony to others—a dangerous and subversive melody, whose dancers are best relegated to an airless abyss of isolation.
Of those patrons from less-frequented chambers, one still finds a will to merriment… in spite of ill intent brought forth on footfalls of belligerent visitors.
From which chamber do you hail?
Do you come at the whim of innocent curiosity?
Or do you arrive with malevolent fear ringing through your spirit?
Will you travel forth, with a song in your heart?
Or a crossbow, slung over your shoulder?
